Homemade Garbage Disposal Cleaning Cubes
Keeping your garbage disposal fresh is easy! It can take just a few minutes every couple of months to make this DIY and then about 15 seconds a week to keep it up!
  • 1 cup of white vinegar
  • 12 drops of essential oil (I use Lemon and Purification)
  • Optional: herbs or citrus rind
Just pour the white vinegar into the ice cube tray, add 1 drop of your favorite essential to each "cleaning cube" and any additional garnish you'd like. Place them in the freezer until solid (1-2 hours) and then they are ready to use.

Just put one in your garbage disposal every 5-7 days to help keep the ick away!

Tough Job?
Occasionally I like to pour a "generous" amount of baking soda in my drain (with a few drops of Purification) and pour enough vinegar to get it bubbling. After about 10 minutes, I pour some hot water down the drain and run the disposal to flush it all out.

With these tricks, I hope helps keep your kitchen smelling fresh and amazing!
